Our Mission and Values

Waldorf Academy’s Mission is to create an inspired learning environment; develop and maintain a profound understanding of the whole child—head, heart, and hands; foster healthy relationships among students, parents, and teachers; and attract highly capable, dedicated, and skilled educators who have a passion for learning and teaching.

Waldorf Academy’s Vision is to ignite passion for the art of learning. We see Waldorf Academy as a lightning rod for learning, a place where creative energy sparks curiosity that lasts a lifetime.

Our Values are:

  • Respect: for ourselves, for each other, for nature.

  • Creative: observation of the world through an artist’s eye and poet’s heart.

  • Compassion: being tender towards each other.

  • Courage: to know yourself, hear your voice, and always question convention.

  • Empathy: to feel the joys and sorrows of the world.

  • Curiosity: to always be asking, always be seeking.

  • Collaboration: by practicing a culture of cooperation, respect, and care.

Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives.
